Fishing For Their Future

Through our Fishing For Their Future program, we mentor youth living in shelters, group homes, foster care communities, church youth groups as well as students from the public school system. We deliver Jesus’s message of love, encouragement and hope through time spent learning about fishing.

We offer this program for private group outings, youth camps, Christian retreats, afterschool clubs and more.

Fishing For Their Future Group Fishing Clinics

We host free fishing clinics at various locations including state parks, area lakes, and private ponds. We serve local boys and girls homes, foster care communities, and more. We teach and practice the basics of fishing while sharing encouragement and the love of Jesus Christ with those who may be facing challenging circumstances in life.

Through donations and sponsorships we are able to provide each participant with a rod and reel, tackle kit, and t-shirt to take home. If you know of a group that could benefit from this program, please reach out to us so we can connect with them.

Youth Angler Club

Youth fishing club offered to students in 5th - 8th grades through local schools in our area. This program provides youth with the opportunity to hear the message of Jesus Christ and to learn the basics of fishing. Participants attend monthly afterschool meetings, fishing outings, and volunteer for various community service projects. If you know of a school that would like to participate and host a club, please contact us.

First Light Fishing Camp

A youth camp for students in 6th-12th grades. This camp runs Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. Your student will hear the message of Jesus Christ, spend time outdoors learning and practicing the basics of fishing, and will have the chance to compete for the gold medal in our “First Light Fishing Games”. These are fun fishing competitions that measure casting distance and accuracy. There is also a casting obstacle course and relay race. Students are challenged to develop a daily, personal relationship with Christ and to follow Him in obedience as they become leaders for their generation. This is a great opportunity for church youth groups, outdoor youth programs, and individuals or groups that enjoy fishing or want to learn more.

  • Registration includes two nights of lodging, all meals, campfire snacks, and all necessary fishing equipment plus a camp t-shirt.

    • Registration fee:

      • Individual = $225.00 per camper.

      • Groups of 25 or more = $200.00 per camper.

    • Contact us for more information or to book a camp for your student or group.

Fishing For Their Future Guided Fishing Trips

We partner with local fishing guides and fishermen to allow participants time on the water where they can enjoy fishing and fellowship. We have found that fishing can be used as a valuable tool to reach out into the community and make a difference. While out on the water, opportunities to engage in conversation and to listen to others share their story emerge. Through this unique program, God provides us with a chance to encourage and pray with others as we spend time fishing. Please contact us if you would like more information on how you can get involved.

Fishing For Their Future Fundraisers

Various fundraising activities are designed to collect new and used fishing equipment, monetary donations, and business sponsorships for our 501 c3 ministry. These donations help provide equipment that we use throughout the year for our programs. If you would like to make a donation or volunteer, please contact us or click on the “take action” button at the top of the page.
